Frequently Asked Questions â Galway Transfer Services
Weâve gathered the most frequently asked questions to help you understand how our private transfers, shared shuttles, and minibus hire services work. Whether you're booking a transfer from Shannon Airport, Knock Airport, or Dublin Airport to Galway, weâve got all the answers you need for a smooth and comfortable experience.
1. Booking & Payments
How do I make a booking? You can book your transfer quickly and easily using our Instant Online Quote & Booking Engine on the website. You can also email us directly at info@galwaytransfer.com.
Iâve booked a transfer but havenât received a confirmation email. What should I do? Check your spam or junk folder. If you still havenât received it, contact us at +353 87 271 5438 and weâll assist you immediately.
When will I receive my sales receipt? Your sales receipt will be automatically emailed to you on the evening of your transfer.
2. Cancellation Policy
At Galway Transfer, we understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. Thatâs why we aim to be as flexible and transparent as possible with our cancellation and refund policy.
â Cancellation & Amendments â Up to 48 Hours Before Travel
Bookings may be cancelled or amended by email (info@galwaytransfer.com) up to 48 hours before the scheduled transfer, subject to availability.
An administration fee of âŹ20 applies to all cancellations and amendments.
Refunds will be processed as the amount paid minus the âŹ20 administration fee.
â Late Cancellations â Less Than 48 Hours
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your transfer are non-refundable and will be charged 100% of the total fare.
â No-Shows
If a passenger does not show up without prior notice, the booking is non-refundable.
â Airport Pick-Up Waiting Time
The driver will wait up to 90 minutes from the time the flight lands. If passengers are not present within this window, the booking will be treated as a no-show.
3. Airport Pickups & Meet and Greet
How do I find my driver at the airport? Your driver will be waiting in the Arrivals Hall, holding a name board with the name you provided during booking.
What is a âMeet and Greetâ service? This is our standard service: the driver will park the vehicle and greet you in the airport arrivals area with your name sign.
Will you meet us anytime of day or night? Yes! We offer a 24/7 service for all pre-booked transfers.
Will I be charged extra if my flight is delayed? No. We track all flights in real time. You wonât be charged extra for airline delays.
4. Shared Shuttle & Private Transfers
Do I have to share a vehicle with other passengers? No. Unless youâve selected the Shared Shuttle option, your transfer will be completely private.
What is the Shared Shuttle? Itâs an optional shared ride service that offers a âŹ50 refund if another group books the same route and timing.
Is the transfer direct, door to door? Yes. All Galway Transfer journeys are direct and door-to-door.
5. Families & Extras
Do you provide baby seats? Yes, we provide baby seats free of charge. Simply mention it in the comments section of your booking.
